Mr. Garnica has been with the district for over five years and currently serves as the Director of Communications. He brought with him 22 years of media experience, having worked at Telemundo (Fresno), Univision (Sacramento), and most recently at KSEE24 NBC in Fresno. During his journalism career, he earned multiple accolades, including three Emmy® Awards for his work.
A proud product of Madera Unified, Mr. Garnica attended Sierra Vista Elementary, Millview Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and graduated from Madera High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism with an emphasis in Multimedia from Fresno State, where he graduated summa cum laude.
