About me
My name is Misty Atkins and I recently moved 15 minutes from the city I was born in (Fresno, CA) and bought a home in beautiful Rolling Hills, Madera CA. Making me your LOCAL Grand Canyon University Representative! I have been in higher education for 17 years and with GCU for 7 of those. I work remotely building relationships with businesses and their employees’ professional development so they can know everything GCU has to offer. I, myself, earned my MBA with the university so I can speak directly to its culture, accolades, and benefits! When I am not working, I like spending time with my two wonderful and grown children. In fact, my daughter just earned her master’s with credential and will begin her teaching career this fall in Clovis Unified School District. My son is currently enrolled at GCU earning his bachelor’s in business and hopes to continue with project management. We are a tight knit family who love sports and our central valley.
