About me
Sylvia has been informing the community, youth, and families for almost 30 years. She has had the
honor of acquiring first-hand experience working in schools, public and behavioral health departments,
and non-profits. Educating anyone who would listen to her on health topics such as mental health,
substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, community health and diseases, perinatal health and
everything that surrounds being a happier, healthier human. The parts of her career she enjoys the most
are establishing meaningful relationships and creating partnerships within the communities she serves,
as well as helping guide the next generation of mental health professionals. In her personal life, she
spends most of her time and money wandering the world, sharing great food with her friends and
family, and lounging by her garden on the hammock.
